What is the trial fee

The trial fee is what you pay to take an item on trial.

It is worked out from the retail price of the item:

• 8% of the retail price, up to £300

• 6% of the retail price, above £300

The result is rounded to whole pounds. So a £200 item carries a £16 trial fee, and a £500 item carries a £30 one.

You pay the trial fee at checkout, along with the deposit.
