Try it properly before you buy it.
Choose a graded product, use it at home for the full trial period, then decide. If you keep it, your trial fee and deposit are deducted from the price. If you return it, your deposit is refunded.
Four steps, start to finish.
- 01
Choose.
Pick the item and the grade.
Every listing is offered brand new, refurbished or pre-used. The grade sets the price. It never changes the trial fee, the deposit or how long you get.
- 02
It arrives.
Delivered in 2 to 4 days, tracked.
You pay the trial fee and a refundable deposit when you order. The trial starts the day the item reaches you, not the day you ordered it.
- 03
Use it.
Four weeks at home, properly.
Not ten minutes in a shop. Whether it fits the kitchen, whether you reach for it on a Tuesday, whether it is quiet enough to sleep through.
- 04
Decide.
Keep it, or return it.
Keep it and the trial fee and deposit both come off the price. Return it and book a collection or a parcel-shop drop-off — your deposit is refunded, and there is nothing further to pay.
What it costs.
A worked example.

Orange Amps TH30
£899.00 retail price
| For a product priced at £899.00 | Amount |
|---|---|
| Trial fee | £54.00 |
| Refundable deposit | £90.00 |
| Total paid today | £144.00 |
| Remaining balance if kept | £755.00 |
| Deposit refunded if returned | £90.00 |
Keep it and the £144.00 already paid is deducted from the £899.00 price. Return it and the £90.00 deposit is refunded; the £54.00 trial fee covers the trial, delivery and return.
How long you get.
Every trial is four weeks, whatever the item and whatever it costs.
That is long enough for anything to prove itself. A treadmill, a pushchair or a bike has to survive a real routine before you know, and four weeks gives it a month of ordinary days, probably including a wet Wednesday.
Your four weeks start the day it arrives, not the day you order.
The clock starts the day it arrives, not the day you order. Time in transit is never counted against you.
How we grade everything.
Three grades, and no letters. A grade tells you what to expect from the item itself. It never changes the trial — the fee, the deposit and the length are the same whichever you choose.
Brand new
Full retail price
Sealed, unused and exactly as the manufacturer shipped it.
- Original packaging and all accessories
- Full manufacturer warranty
- No marks of any kind
Refurbished — as new
10% below retail
Returned, then tested and put right by a technician. Cosmetically it should be hard to tell from new.
- Function-tested against the manufacturer specification
- Worn or consumable parts replaced
- Cleaned and repackaged, though not always in the original box
Pre-used — light wear
20% below retail
Used, and honest about it. Everything works properly; the finish carries the evidence of a previous life.
- Light scuffing, marks or wear you can see
- Fully function-tested, nothing broken or missing
- Priced to reflect the wear, not the box it came in
If an item is not as described, send it back and the deposit is refunded in full. If the grade was wrong, the trial fee comes back too — you should not pay to find out we described something badly. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to every grade, including pre-used.
Common questions.
- Am I committed to buying?
- No. Returning an item is the ordinary outcome of a trial. You do not need to give a reason.
- What if I break it?
- Tell us as soon as you can and return it as normal. Damage beyond ordinary use may be deducted from your deposit, and we will always show you what we have found before deducting anything.
- What does it cost to return?
- Nothing. Book a collection or a parcel-shop drop-off from your account; the trial fee covered both directions.
- When do I get my deposit back?
- Within 3 days of it going back. We contact you first if we ever think a deduction is warranted.
- Can I use it properly?
- Yes. Ordinary marks from a few weeks of real use are expected and never charged for.
- What condition will it arrive in?
- Whichever grade you chose — brand new, refurbished or pre-used — described before you commit.
