Who we are
Renticy Limited, trading as trialcove.com, is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15587682, at Stafford Education & Enterprise Park, Weston Road, Stafford, ST18 0BF, United Kingdom.
For anything about your data, email privacy@trialcove.com.
What we collect
- Account details
- Your name, email address, delivery address and phone number.
- Order and trial history
- What you have trialled, when it was delivered, when it went back, and what you decided.
- Payment details
- Handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store the full card number.
- Messages
- Emails and support conversations, so we know what has already been said.
- Technical data
- IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited. Used to keep the site working and secure.
Why we hold it
Each purpose has a lawful basis under UK GDPR:
- Running your trial
- Performance of a contract. We cannot deliver an item, start a trial or refund a deposit without this.
- Fraud prevention and security
- Legitimate interests. We are lending out physical goods, and some checks are unavoidable.
- Accounting and tax
- Legal obligation.
- Marketing email
- Consent. Only if you asked for it, and you can withdraw at any time from any message.
- Improving the site
- Consent, through the analytics cookies you choose to allow.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to run the service. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
- Carriers, to deliver and collect items — name, address and phone number.
- Our payment provider, to take payments and issue refunds.
- Suppliers of the items, where an item needs to go back to them directly.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.
Where a provider is outside the UK, we make sure an approved safeguard is in place — usually the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Account data
- While your account is open, and for two years after it is closed.
- Order and trial records
- Six years from the end of the tax year, which is the accounting requirement.
- Support messages
- Three years.
- Marketing consent
- Until you withdraw it, and a record of the withdrawal afterwards.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, where we do not have to keep it for accounting or legal reasons.
- Stop or restrict a particular use, including any use based on legitimate interests.
- Send it to you or another provider in a portable format.
- Stop marketing email, at any time, with no reason needed.
Email privacy@trialcove.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, and only the strictly necessary ones are set without asking. See the cookie policy for what each one does and how to change your choices.
Complaints

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first.
